Jazz, hip-hop, art combined today

A free artist reception and concert featuring jazz and hip-hop music by Urban Renewal will take place today at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater and Rotunda, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.

The reception will begin at 6 p.m. inside the building and the outside concert will begin at 7 p.m.

Urban Renewal includes Phil Wigfall on saxophone and turntables, Etsuko Mader on piano and keyboards, Eric Runquist on acoustic and electric guitar, and Joe Malone on percussion.

In the rotunda, local artist Kevin M. Bays will showcase his ceramic-based sculpture exhibit “In Dreams.”

The Clark County Amphitheater features lawn seating and free parking. Blankets and low-back chairs are welcome. No pets are allowed.
