Wynn Las Vegas’ Tryst offers ‘sexy vibe’ with luxury touches

If it’s an aura of elegance you’re seeking to impart, it’s hard to go wrong — particularly in desert Las Vegas — with an actual waterfall.

And, it turns out, the 90-foot waterfall at Tryst serves as perfect visual shorthand for what the upscale nightclub aims to be.

The red velvet walls, deep woods, gilded mirrors, attractive patio seating area and other luxury touches don’t hurt, of course. But managing partner Jesse Waits says it’s usually the waterfall — which cascades into a sort of scenic lagoon — that provides the wow factor to first-time guests.

"When I walk somebody in, they see it, and you just see their mouth dropping," he says.

Tryst, at Wynn Las Vegas, 3131 Las Vegas Blvd. South, covers 12,000 square feet of space and can accommodate about 1,200 guests at one time. But Waits says the club was designed with an eye toward preventing guests from feeling either too crowded or too lost.

The vibe is "very sexy," he says, and the ambiance "not too loud and overbearing. You could still have a conversation."

The dance floor is accented with go-go dancers, and Waits describes the music menu — played by a roster of resident and visiting DJs — as "open format, with a little bit of everything."

The dress code is "upscale chic," Waits says. Cover is $20 for women and $30 for men, although locals are admitted free on Thursday industry nights.

Tryst opens at 10:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. For more information, call 770-3375.
