Superstar DJs hitting clubs this weekend
I’m going to pretend you don’t know anything about DJs and tell you about four superstars performing at nightclubs this weekend.
■ Avicii is a mere 22-year-old from Sweden, but he is no mere DJ-producer. He skyrocketed to fame on the strength of his DJ sets, his remixes and his original club hits “Levels” and “Seek Bromance.” He plays tonight at XS at Wynn.
■ Steve Aoki is one of the most revered electro-house DJs ever, known for remixes, crazy-fun live performances, his record label Dim Mak, and his original songs, such as “Turbulence” with Laidback Luke and Lil Jon. He spins tonight at Encore’s Surrender, then Monday at XS.
■ Dutch musician Tiesto is one of the world’s most popular electronic dance music DJ-producers. He’s known for playing at XS for four or five hours straight. Incidentally, the music video for his big song, “Maximal Crazy,” was shot on the Strip and at last year’s Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas. He spins Saturday at XS.
■ And Kaskade was last year’s winner of the DJ Times’ poll for best DJ. His reputation exploded with original songs “Move For Me” and “I Remember,” both collaborations with Deadmau5. He performs Saturday at Marquee at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and Sunday at Marquee dayclub poolside.

SATURDAY: Hardwell at Marquee dayclub. Bingo Players at Surrender. Lil Jon at Wynn’s Tryst. Kid Capri at Gallery. Disco Fries at Palms’ Rain. Bad Boy Bill at Paris Las Vegas’ Chateau. At Palms pool dayclub: EFX and other DJs. Melo D at Hard Rock’s Vanity. Singer Rita Ora at Lavo at Palazzo (with DJ Reflex). Girl 6 at Bellagio’s Lily. (Actor Joey Lawrence appears at Chateau. Ben and Courtney from “The Bachelor” appears at Caesars’ Pure.)
SUNDAY: Sebastian Ingrosso at Encore Beach Club. Wynter Gordon at Vanity. Manufactured Superstars at XS. The Green Brothers at Palms’ ghostbar.
MONDAY: Hardwell at Marquee.
TUESDAY: DJ Stephanie Loayza with violinist Esther Anaya at Moon.
WEDNESDAY: Manufactured Superstars at Surrender.
