Posh Boutique caters to those looking for a place to party late

Feel free to stop by the new Posh Boutique Nightclub whenever you can.

In fact, don’t even worry if you happen to spend the early part of the evening elsewhere and show up at Posh late. Rob Mersis, Posh’s marketing director, says Posh probably will just be hitting its stride when you arrive.

Posh is designed to be a premier late-night night club and lounge where, Mersis says, things are heating up even as they start to wind down at other clubs around town.

At Posh, Mersis says, "the whole idea is to peak two or three hours past where most clubs do."

Posh is located in the Playground adult nightlife complex at 3525 W. Russell Road, which also contains Sushi All Night, Harem Hookah and the Crazy Horse III gentlemen’s club.

Posh will have one more soft opening this weekend before its official grand opening, scheduled for next weekend. Special events, including a model search next week, are scheduled.

Until now, Posh has been advertised mostly through social media sites, Mersis says. From that, "we’ve gotten nothing but amazing feedback. Now we just want to really back it up with some great events."

Posh takes up an intimate 3,500 square feet of space. It features a lush decor, Mersis says, with dark wood accents, bronzed architecture and gold-flecked table tops.

"All materials are extremely high-end," he adds. "We really went all-out for the room."

The layout is designed to "maximize every bit of real estate," Mersis says. Tables situated on the dance floor put guests close to the action, seat cushions are deeper than usual and booth backs are designed for sitting or dancing.

Also creating the proper high-energy vibe are go-go dancers who "perform pretty much all the time," Mersis says. And when the dancers rotate on and off, female patrons are invited to take their place.

DJs working a state-of-the-art sound system play "a mix of music for everybody," Mersis says. "I think as we get later into the evening, we do cater more to the high-energy house music crowd, but we do extend that club experience, so we have all types of DJs."

Currently, Posh opens at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. An industry night for locals will be added, Mersis says, as will a fourth night of operation.

From midnight to 2 a.m., ladies can enjoy an open bar. Admission, which normally is $20 for women, is waived during that time, Mersis says.

Meanwhile admission for men is $30 — or $20 for local men — but guests do receive two drink tickets for that price, Mersis says.
