Longoria brings sense of taste, style to give Eve, The Nightclub luxury feel
Las Vegas nightclubs bear names inspired by all sorts of things, some of them obvious, others a bit more abstract.
But at Eve, The Nightclub, the inspiration is an actual person: actress Eva Longoria, a principal in the club that opened in December 2009 in Crystals at CityCenter.
Longoria is no mere figurehead, notes Roy Saunders, director of operations at Eve and Longoria’s neighboring Beso restaurant.
"It’s not like her name is just on the door," Saunders says. Longoria is "very involved in every aspect of its operations. This is her baby."
And, Saunders says, Longoria’s tastes and sense of style were key in creating Eve’s luxury feel.
The club encompasses about 8,500 square feet, Saunders says, "intimate, but large enough if you want to get lost and have fun."
But even amid the crystal chandeliers and luxury appointments, Eve’s most striking feature may well be the club’s southern wall, made up entirely of glass and offering a view of Aria’s porte cochere and, Saunders says, "beautiful architecture."
Eve’s party atmosphere is amped up by DJs working a state-of-the-art sound system. Beginning next week, house will be on the musical menu on Thursdays, while guests on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays will party to Top 40 and hip-hop.
Providing visual accompaniment to dancers are video screens that descend from the ceiling and encircle the dance floor.
"It’s very interactive," Saunders says. "It’s a lot of fun and very unique."
March is a particularly busy month at Eve because it marks the celebration of Longoria’s birthday. Events include Longoria’s birthday party on March 18.
"She’s going to be hosting, and there’s going to be A-listers from Hollywood," Saunders says. "It’s going to be quite a party."
Eve and Beso also offer guests the chance to make an evening of their night out, Saunders says.
"When a guest dines in the restaurant, we waive all cover charges" to Eve, he says.
Eve, located on the second level of the Crystals retail and entertainment shops at CityCenter, opens at 10:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
Wednesday is industry night, when locals get in free. Otherwise, admission is $30 for men and $20 for women.
