Caesars Palace’s July Fourth celebration to include skydiving stunt

Fireworks won’t be the only thing falling from the sky above Caesars Palace this weekend.

In celebration of the Fourth of July and the casino’s 50th anniversary, the Red Bull Air Force skydiving team will perform a night jump stunt in front of the resort at 9 p.m. Sunday, a spokeswoman said Tuesday. More than 13 minutes of fireworks will follow.

The event is part of Caesars’ free Independence Day Weekend Block Party, which also includes a performance by former “American Idol” champion Taylor Hicks and the UNLV Star of Nevada Marching Band and appearances by Robbie Knievel and the cast of “Absinthe” before the skydiving stunt begins.
