Azure luxury pool caters to those wanting to get pampered with unique amenities

Maybe it’s the lush surroundings and colors that bring to mind the south of France.
Maybe it’s the poolside massages. Or maybe it’s the staff members offering frozen grapes, fresh fruit, cool towels and spritzes of mist to guests.
Whatever it is, there’s no mistaking that the vibe at Azure Luxury Pool is upscale and sophisticated.
This marks the third season for the dayclub event at the Palazzo, and Sebastien Silvestri, vice president of food and beverage for the Palazzo and The Venetian, says Azure is, by design, "very different from what’s out there."
"There are a lot of pool parties out there. What we do is small, classy, sophisticated. People come and spend the afternoon with us to get pampered. We offer them amenities they don’t get anywhere."
Silvestri notes, too, that Azure isn’t heavily advertised. Rather, he says, the club’s guests often discover it through word of mouth.
Credit Azure’s success, first, to its staff, Silvestri says. "We have a great team of people, and well-trained people, who understand luxury and understand it’s about taking care of our guests."
Then, he says, credit it to Azure’s ability to provide guests with "a luxury experience. People love it and come back."
The pool area, which includes a trio of pools, is designed to offer both relative privacy to those seeking it and the chance to be in the center of the action.
Cabanas, daybeds and lounge chairs are available. So are luxury touches that go beyond the usual.
For example, "we work closely with Canyon Ranch SpaClub," Silvestri says, and guests may receive spa services — including a signature Azure champagne and cold stone massage — poolside.
A full drink menu is available, and guests seeking a bite can order off of a menu of dishes from Wolfgang Puck.
Music is provided by resident DJ Twisted and occasional guest DJs, and the electronic beats are augmented by live drummers on Saturdays. Silvestri adds that the music is suitable for partying but also less raucous than that found elsewhere along the Strip.
Also among this season’s offerings, Silvestri says, is a new shaded, open-air hookah lounge.
Azure Luxury Pool at the Palazzo, 3325 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. Cover is $20, but local ladies are admitted free.
