Azure dayclub opening at Palazzo
March 23, 2012 - 1:02 am
Today, Azure pool-dayclub opens at the Palazzo. But if you’re looking for the wildest dayclub, this isn’t it. Azure goes for the luxury crowd in a boutique setting, with pricey spa treatments and a Wolfgang Puck menu.
Here’s your weekend nightclub forecast:
■ At Marquee tonight, pop-trance DJ-producer Ferry Corsten is the real deal. A product of the Netherlands, he’s been in music for 20 years, most of that as a hit-maker of songs that presaged electronic dance music’s rise in the States these past two years, such as “Fire” and “Made of Love” (featuring Betsie Larkin).
Also tonight: The Cataracs (“Like a G6”) DJ at Moon. Dave Aude DJs at Haze. Bl3nd DJs at Surrender. Tony Arzadon DJs at Vanity. Tinie Tempah raps at Tao. Melo D and OB One DJ at Rain.
■ It’s not completely a DJ scene at clubs on Saturday. Hip-hop producer and rapper Jermaine Dupri performs at Tryst. Pop singer Mike Posner performs at Surrender. Lloyd Banks raps at LAX. Trio R3jectz rap at Moon.
Also tonight: ATB DJs at Marquee. Sander Kleinenberg DJs at Rain. Tommy Trash DJs at XS. Joe Hahn of Linkin Park DJs at Haze. Umek DJs at Chateau. “Girl Next Door” Kendra Wilkinson appears at Wet Republic. Comedian Kevin Hart appears at RPM. And “Entourage” castmates Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon and Kevin Connolly appear at Vanity.
