Who needs a time machine? This triple bill will work nicely

Wish you could see what you looked like going crazy at a Styx or Foreigner concert when you were 17?

Ah well, video phones seemed like something out of “The Jetsons” back then. But there is AXS TV now.

Mark Cuban’s cable-satellite network plans to film Friday’s triple bill of Styx, Foreigner and ousted Eagle Don Felder for a future broadcast and possible DVD release. So dig out that old T-shirt from the “Grand Illusion” tour and suck in that gut in case you make it into a pan shot of the crowd.

You won’t be asked at the door who is singing for Styx or Foreigner these days, but just in case you want to know: Lawrence Gowan has been singing “Come Sail Away” alongside original Styx co-singer Tommy Shaw for years now. Kelly Hansen voices the old Lou Gramm classics such as “Hot Blooded” for co-founding guitarist Mick Jones.
