Traffic stopper: Shania Twain makes grand entrance at Caesars

Was it Redford in “Electric Horseman”? Quaid in “Vegas”?

Sorry boys, that striking figure in black, riding up the Strip on a matching steed, was Twain (not Shane).

Escorted by a whole team of cowboys, Shania Twain rode up the wrong side of the road (such an outlaw) from the Strip’s Flamingo Road intersection at about 2 p.m., briefly passing by her red carpet and waiting fans before doubling back to the Caesars fountains.

“I thought they told you to go to The Mirage instead of Caesars Palace,” Caesars President Gary Selesner joked.

“I was having so much fun I couldn’t turn around,” said the country-pop superstar of the ’90s, whose traffic-halting stunt was to promote two years of periodic shows in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, starting Dec. 1.

“I’m going to try to bring my adrenaline down for the next couple of weeks,” Twain told fans. The shows haven’t even started, and already, “I don’t want to leave!”
