The List: Latest DVDs, CDs, books, April 9

A look at some of the DVDs, CDs and books hitting stores this week:

DVDS

“Hyde Park on Hudson” (R): The affair between Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Bill Murray) and Margaret “Daisy” Suckley (Laura Linney), his fifth or sixth cousin, “depending on how you count,” comes to a head during a historic visit by England’s King George VI (Samuel West) and Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman).

Topping today’s TV transfers: “Boss: Season Two,” “Merlin: The Complete Fifth Season” and “Family Ties: The Sixth Season.”

CDS

Brad Paisley, “Wheelhouse”: Despite the title of the first single from his latest record, Brad Paisley leaves his “Southern Comfort Zone” on “Wheelhouse.”

With rapper LL Cool J and Monty Python funnyman Eric idle both making guest appearances, Paisley is stretching out a bit here.

Orthodox country music fans fear not: Charlie Daniels drops by as well.
