Some of the best punk rock distills the appeal of eternal youth: lack of consequence, in-the-moment thrills, the perpetual need for speed.
L.A.’s The Henry Clay People channel all of the above on “Twenty-Five for the Rest of Our Lives,” the title track for their forthcoming new album.
“We’re never gonna to settle down, we’ll never settle for anything,” singer-guitarist Joey Siara sings on the two-minute blast of heart attack guitars and youthful idealism.
They don’t want to grow up.
And we don’t want them to either.
