Secrets spilling at Hard Rock Cafe

Love, hate and secrets – all things post-hardcore band Secrets use as inspiration for their songs.

The San Diego band signed to Velocity Records, an imprint label of Rise Records, a few months after they formed in 2010.

They got popular fast, and, as clean vocalist Richard Rogers says, “It felt good, better than not being famous.”

The band members say after this tour, they will head to the studio to record their follow-up album to “The Ascent,” which was released in early 2012.

They plan to release the new album in July.

“It’s a secret,” screamer Xander Bourgeois said of the prospects of another tour.

Catch Secrets, along with headliners Silverstein, Like Moths to Flames, Glass Cloud and Issues, at the all-ages show at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip. Tickets are $16; call 733-7625.
