Scott Weiland bringing big bang to The Pearl

He got fired from the band he says he can’t get fired from.

But that’s not going to stop Scott Weiland from playing tunes by the Stone Temple Pilots, the group whose remaining members publicly booted him from the band earlier in the year, a move that Weiland has contested.

STP has since recruited Linkin Park singer frontman Chester Bennington to front the group, while Weiland embarks on a solo tour dubbed “Purple at the Core” in reference to a pair of STP’s most popular albums, meaning Weiland will continue to mine the catalog he helped popularize, regardless of what his former bandmates think.

Flies in the Vaseline they are, apparently.
