Scorpions going out with a wail in finale

This may be your last chance to see Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine unleash a heavy metal wail rivaled in volume only by the shriek of mating alley cats.

Sadly, the German hard rock greats are currently making the rounds on their farewell Get Your Sting And Blackout Tour before retiring from the road.

But what a career it’s been.

Beginning in the early ’70s, the band set the bar for wild-eyed guitar pyrotechnics imbedded in hook-heavy jams as catchy as they were granite-hard.

Do you own a copy of the band’s masterful 1975 rager “In Trace”?

It still kicks mountains of derriere all these years later.

The same can be said of the band who made it.
