It’s hard to listen to the self-titled debut from Canadian heart-attack-rock trio Metz and not begin to feel a little panicked.
The record is so tense with needling guitar screech and panting, paranoid microphone meltdowns that anxiety levels become as overamplified as the din itself.
This isn’t noise for the sake of noise, though, for these dudes embed plenty of smudge-covered hooks beneath all the feedback resulting in a nervous breakdown that you can along to.
