Juicy J’s sense-slurring effects to take over the Boulevard Pool

You are neither as high nor as rich as Juicy J.

You will be reminded of as much on a per-song basis on J’s latest record, “Stay Trippy” — or the two that preceded it.

Best known as a member of gritty Memphis crew Three 6 Mafia, Juicy J further elevated his profile last year with his guest turn on Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse.”

That hit played to J’s strengths: lugubrious rhymes delivered over a lazy, serpentine beat meant to mimic the sense-slurring effects of heavy codeine consumption.

And you don’t even need a prescription.
