“The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” (PG-13): Feuding Bally’s headliners Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) are forced to step up their act when an edgy street magician (Jim Carrey) comes to Las Vegas.
Elsewhere, a 911 operator (Halle Berry) must confront a killer from her past to save a recently abducted teenager (Abigail Breslin) in “The Call” (R). And a young advertising executive (Gael Garcia Bernal) leads the 1988 campaign to vote against another eight years of rule by Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in the political satire “No” (R).
Topping today’s TV transfers: “Masterpiece Mystery: Inspector Lewis Season Six,” “CSI: NY — The Final Season” and “MADtv: Season Three.”
CDs
Bret Michaels, “Jammin’ with Friends”: Finally, the album that the long history of recorded sound has been building toward: Miley Cyrus, Loretta Lynn and Bret Freakin’ Michaels all on one record.
