First Look: Anderson, Murray reunite on ‘Moonrise Kingdom’

The story: In the summer of 1965, two New England 12-year-olds fall in love and run away into the wilderness, just as a violent storm is brewing, turning the island they call home upside down.

The buzz: Wes Anderson + Bill Murray = Awesome. The duo’s previous collaborations – “Rushmore,” “The Royal Tenenbaums,” “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou,” “The Darjeeling Limited” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox” – had fans clamoring for “Moonrise Kingdom.” Initially opening in four theaters, it earned a record per-screen average of $130,752. By comparison, “The Avengers” opened to an average $47,698 per screen.
