Big names star in ‘Horrible Bosses’

The movie: “Horrible Bosses”

When: Opening Friday at local theaters

Cast: Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx

Director: Seth Gordon

The story: Frustrated at work, three friends conspire to bump off the employers making their lives miserable. (Yes, it’s a comedy.)

The buzz: With “Bridesmaids” and “Hangover II” leading the summer’s R-rated comedy invasion, “Horrible Bosses” takes a page from Alfred Hitchcock’s trading-murders classic “Strangers on a Train” in hopes of scoring its own box-office success. One thing “Bosses” has that its rivals don’t: not one but two Oscar winners, Foxx and Spacey, in the cast; Spacey is one of the horrible bosses, while Foxx is an ex-con with expertise the embattled employees desperately need to achieve their killer goals.
