Garth Brooks back at Wynn with a full band backing him

Leaving Las Vegas? It was part of Garth Brooks’ master plan all along. But at this point, parting sure feels like sweet sorrow.

The country superstar parked with his acoustic guitar at Wynn Las Vegas to do periodic solo shows from 2009 through 2012, until his daughters finished high school in Oklahoma.

He seemed finished with the mutually beneficial relationship, until he returned Thanksgiving weekend to perform once more at the Wynn on a live TV special that drew 8.7 million viewers.

And now he’s back again, this time with a full band for the first time at the Wynn, no doubt tuning up for all the touring he is planning in 2014 when those daughters are off to college.

Could the Wynn have been any more giving beyond that private jet that shuttled him to the Sooner State? Well, there is “Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences,” the eight-disc box set that went on sale exclusively at Walmart on Black Friday, and which includes a DVD of a Wynn performance.

More? Yes, “The Call,” featuring spouse Trisha Yearwood, is a live cut from the Wynn that went out as a new single to country radio.
