Up with People to sing, dance tonight

Up with People will perform a multicultural concert with a message of unity and tolerance at 7:30 p.m. today at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.

The group, founded in 1965 as a positive voice for young people, has 68 members from 19 countries.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Proceeds will benefit the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada.

Guitarist Bonamassa to perform free show

Guitarist Joe Bonamassa presents his smooth blues-rock sound during a free performance Saturday.

Bonamassa, who has performed with Muddy Waters, Peter Frampton, George Thorogood and Joe Cocker, will take the stage at the Henderson Events Plaza at the Water Street District in downtown Henderson.

Crosby Loggins, son of singer Kenny Loggins, will kick off the night with an acoustic set of pop, jazz, funk and rock.

The show starts at 7 p.m.
