Da Vinci Experience opens in Henderson

The Da Vinci Experience, an exhibit of replicas of the artist’s inventions and paintings, opens Saturday at the Henderson Event Plaza, 200 S. Water St.

All of the replicas were designed from Da Vinci’s notebooks, which contain more than 13,000 pages of notes and drawings, and were re-created using the same materials and techniques that would have existed in his time.

Among the items on display are prototypes for the first bicycle, the first car, the first helicopter and the first parachute.

The Da Vinci Experience is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays through March 2.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for seniors 65 and older and students 17 and younger. Children age 6 and younger are admitted free.
