Caesars Entertainment execs quickly reacted to my story posted Wednesday of possible negotiations with Bruno Mars for a residency at Caesars Palace. This morning, I received an email from a Caesars official:
“Caesars Entertainment would be delighted to have an artist of Bruno Mars’ caliber performing at one of our properties, but we cannot confirm that we are in discussions with him about a residency.”
More importantly, please note that they didn’t deny discussions!
Moments after I posted our Red Carpet Report exclusive about the AMERICA’S GOT TALENT “flaming crossbow arrow stunt that went dangerously wrong” couple, Ryan Stock and his girlfriend, Amber Lynn, TMZ called producers Angela and Matt Stabile to confirm it.
Amber fired the flaming arrow at a rod inserted into Ryan’s throat, but a laser sight skewed lower than planned, and the arrow embedded itself on fire in Ryan’s neck! They plan to do the stunt in the new Hooters Casino show. Learning the story of their new residency at Hooters was true, TMZ producers quickly booked the couple to appear on its nightly syndicated TV show.
Incidentally, I owe comedy magician Piff the Magic Dragon an apology. In that stunt story posted Tuesday, I omitted his name from the list of AGT acts who now have shows in Las Vegas. Piff and his sidekick Chihuahua, Mr. Piffles, appear at The Flamingo. I’ll send over dog bones for life to make up for that goof!
