Tonight in Las Vegas: Phantogram headlines Brooklyn Bowl

TONIGHT IN LAS VEGAS

Sustainable seafood chef Rick Moonen (RM Seafood and Rx Boiler Room at Mandalay Bay) MC’s the six-chef global throwdown cooking contest at National Museum of Bermuda to mark this weekend’s Earth Day. The chefs represent France, Japan, New Zealand, Sweden, Britain and the USA. Rob Ruiz of Carlsbad, California, and Chef of the Year by The San Diego Union- Tribune, represents America competing against Britain’s Chris Kenny, head chef of Virgin billionaire Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island resort.

Rick is known as the godfather of sustainability in the restaurant industry. Competing chefs are tasked with finding the tastiest solution to the problem of the voracious, invasive predator lionfish whose population has to be culled and contained. The throwdown is part of The America’s Cup teams training on their catamarans before the May 26 sailing contest.

Tech N9ne, with Brotha Lynch Hung, brings “The Strictly Strange 17 Tour” to House of Blues at Mandalay Bay.

Phantogram and Lido take to the stage at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The Linq Promenade.

DJ RL Grime controls the wheels of steel at Surrender at Encore.

DJ Ikon is at 1 OAK at The Mirage.

DJ Brett Bodley mans the decks at Chateau at Paris Las Vegas.

DJ D-Miles runs to Hyde Bellagio.

TOMORROW’S TEASES

The Backstreet Boys — A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell — are at Sugar Factory Fashion Show for continuing grand-opening celebrations (Kylie Jenner is there Saturday). Expect mayhem! The Axis at Planet Hollywood headliners also have two nights of after-parties at Chateau on Friday and Saturday.

The Lon Bronson Band plays “The Music of Chicago” — that’s the big, brass band and not the city or the Broadway musical — at Myron’s Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Neil Donell, who sounds like Peter Cetera, Robert Lamm and Terry Kath and who has performed several times with Chicago, is guest vocalist.

Guitarist Eric Sardinas, known for setting his music instruments on fire mid-performance, pushes the boundaries of rock and blues in his show “Boomerang” at The Railhead at Boulder Station.

Kehlani headlines BBLV.

There’s a six-band lineup with Jack the Ripper under the watchful eye of DJ Gladez at the JacknCake dirty-dance party at Commonwealth on Fremont Street.

Melanie and The Midnite Marauders join Thee Swank Bastards for rockabilly sounds and surf rock at Beauty Bar on Fremont Street.

Tiesto headlines Hakkasan at MGM Grand.

DJ Neva brightens the sun from behind the wheels of steel at Daylight at Mandalay Bay.

Scooter & Lavelle man the dual decks at Liquid at Aria.

DJ Digital spins at Tao Beach at The Venetian.

DJ Esco makes the music at Drai’s atop The Cromwell.
