Tonight in Las Vegas: Backstreet Boys at Sugar Factory; Tiesto at Hakkasan

TONIGHT IN LAS VEGAS

The Backstreet Boys — A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell — are at Sugar Factory Fashion Show for continuing grand-opening celebrations (Kylie Jenner is there Saturday). Expect mayhem! The Axis at Planet Hollywood headliners also have two nights of after-parties at Chateau on Friday and Saturday.

The Lon Bronson Band plays “The Music of Chicago” — that’s the big, brass band and not the city or the Broadway musical — at Myron’s Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Neil Donell, who sounds like Peter Cetera, Robert Lamm and Terry Kath and who has performed several times with Chicago, is guest vocalist.

Guitarist Eric Sardinas, known for setting his music instruments on fire mid-performance, pushes the boundaries of rock and blues in his show “Boomerang” at The Railhead at Boulder Station.

Kehlani headlines Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The Linq Promenade.

There’s a six-band lineup with Jack the Ripper under the watchful eye of DJ Gladez at the JacknCake dirty-dance party at Commonwealth on Fremont Street.

Melanie and The Midnite Marauders join Thee Swank Bastards for rockabilly sounds and surf rock at Beauty Bar on Fremont Street.

Tiesto headlines Hakkasan at MGM Grand.

DJ Neva brightens the sun from behind the wheels of steel at Daylight at Mandalay Bay.

Scooter & Lavelle man the dual decks at Liquid at Aria.

DJ Digital spins at Tao Beach at The Venetian.

DJ Esco makes the music at Drai’s atop The Cromwell.

Lost Kings find their crowns at Intrigue at Wynn Las Vegas.

And DJ Five counts down at Tao.

This weekend includes The Animal Foundation’s 14th Annual Best in Show. More than 50 playful pups from The Lied Animal Shelter vie for the top title at The Thomas & Mack Center. All the cuddly canines are looking for forever homes and will be available for adoption.

The Backstreet Boys return to Axis for weekend shows and host their after-parties at Chateau Nightclub at neighboring Paris Las Vegas.

Film composer and musician Hans Zimmer headlines at Park Theater at Monte Carlo. He’s scored more than 120 films that have grossed some $24 billion. His notable works include “Rain Man,” “Thelma & Louise,” “Mission Impossible II,” “The Da Vinci Code” and “The Lion King,” for which he won an Academy Award.

And, on Saturday, courageous long-distance solo runner Helene Neville, a cancer survivor, 55-year-old grandmother and Las Vegas nurse, hosts her sendoff party with a Zumba class with cast mates of “Sexxy” at Westgate before she leaves to start a final 4,000-mile run for yet another world record crisscrossing 12 states she missed on her 9,600-mile perimeter run of the United States. Our most recent interview with Helene was posted March 26. Her run starts May 1 in Wyoming, and she plans to finish on the Strip in September. I’ll run the last 100 yards with her!
