TONIGHT IN L.V.
Fallen in love with the USA swim team on NBC’s Olympic broadcasts from Rio de Janeiro? They star again tonight, including the highly anticipated Michael Phelps vs. Ryan Lochte race, and you can get a close-up idea of what it takes when the All-City Synchronized Swimming show LIVING THE DREAM is performed by Las Vegas swimmers at Baker Pool on East St. Louis Avenue.
We’ve reached the semifinals of the World Hip Hop Dance Championships at Westin Lake Las Vegas. The finals are Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The World Pool Championships staged by The American Poolplayers Association starts at Westgate Las Vegas with Jack and Jill challenges, Open 8 and 9-Ball.
Zowie Bowie performs on the Third Street Stage of Fremont Street Experience.
And Darby O’Gill and The Little People are at Topgolf Las Vegas.
TOMORROW IN L.V.
Our celebrity check of Las Vegas visitors for the weekend turns the spotlight on Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas and the 25th anniversary of Magic Live! You’ll find my stories on our new page in Friday Neon in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. And we’ll have two more guest columns and the weekly Weekend in L.V. and Royal Robin Rundown of shows and attractions in the valley.
