Thunder From Down Under celebrates 15 years of taking it off on the Strip

Editor’s Note: Producing shows for the Las Vegas Strip is not for the faint of heart. In recent days, we’ve had the cancellations of STEVE WYNN’S SHOWSTOPPERS at Wynn Las Vegas, RAIDING THE ROCK VAULT at Tropicana, Frankie Moreno’s production at Planet Hollywood, Matt Goss at Caesars Palace, and we’ll bid a very fond farewell to JERSEY BOYS at Paris Las Vegas in September.

While Robin Leach is on his annual family vacation in Italy exploring the delights of Tuscany, Puglia and next week Sicily, he’s invited a number of his showbiz pals to pen guest columns in his absence. Today, we welcome two producers who have had long-running success on the Strip: Anita Mann, owner of Anita Mann Productions, with her FANTASY at the Luxor and Adam Steck, who has THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER at Excalibur among his Las Vegas lineup that also includes Mike Tyson at MGM Grand, Human Nature at The Venetian and the new PUPPET UP! also at The Venetian.

Here’s Adam with an assist by Penny Levin:

By Adam Steck

This month, we at AUSTRALIA’S THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER are excited to celebrate 15 years of headlining at The Excalibur on the Las Vegas Strip where we perform an unprecedented 13 shows a week in the 400-seat showroom named in our honor.

We are proud to say that THUNDER has set the standard for the highest-quality entertainment in the adult male revue industry and is the No. 1 bachelorette party show destination in the world.

Dynamic performers showing off washboard abs, charismatic smiles and very little else (to the delight of our audiences) dance onstage and off providing an up close and personal experience.

With the addition of the 7 p.m. Saturday shows, THUNDER now has a 9 p.m. show Mondays through Wednesdays, 9 and 11 p.m. shows Thursdays through Sundays and 7, 9 and 11 p.m. shows Fridays.

Three troupes

With the sitting Las Vegas show and now not one but two touring companies crisscrossing the U.S. including Hawaii, plus international destinations such as Canada, Mexico, China, Russia, Ireland and The Netherlands, to name a few, THUNDER is dancing and stripping into the hearts of millions of women.

I am so proud of everyone connected with the company and how it burgeoned from the days we first crossed over the moat of the castle to the nightly sold-out crowds. We deliver sexy and sizzling fun for ladies and have guests from ages 18 to our oldest guest, a 106-year-old woman from Minneapolis.

National TV shows

Millions of national and international viewers have seen THUNDER on talk shows and TV series. THUNDER recently filmed a segment of ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT CANADA when our performers taught E.T. host Matte Babel how to shake his booty and take it off, which was a hilarious segment. Two of the guys also did a guest appearance on NBC’s HEARTBEAT and caused lots of heart fluttering on the set in L.A.

THUNDER also had the honor and the distinction of being the first show of its type to be in a Disney movie. Our guest appearance in the family-friendly ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY with Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner was a first.

New hot 2017 calendars

Regardless of the season, a visit to THUNDER is always hot, and so are our blokes. See for yourself when our 2017 steamy calendar goes on sale in August at our merchandise shop adjacent to the showroom or online at ThunderFromDownUnder.com.

No. 1 bachelorette destination

THUNDER is a premiere choice for bachelorette parties, and we happily have provided memorable moments for thousands of brides-to-be and their wedding parties. Grandmothers, mothers and daughters have been charmed by the men of THUNDER. Many of our guests have returned to see the show.

Add birthdays, divorce parties and other celebrations to the mix, and you have happy ladies feeling empowered to have a good time.

Thunder blokes really are Australian

Yes, indeed, and so are their accents. And they really do love the ladies!

Be sure to read our other guest columns today from Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers and FANTASY at The Luxor producer Anita Mann, and check back Friday for two more guest columns and our weekly Celebrities in L.V. preview.
