Shriners Hospitals for Children slated for Nov. 2-5

The date isn’t until Nov. 2-5 but I’d like you to mark your diaries and calendars now. The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas is far more than just a golf tournament: It’s an event not to be missed. And remember playing the top-notch golf helps support the world-class pediatric care they provide.

Patrick Lindsey, the tournament director told me just why the 35-year-old event is far more than a PGA Tour golf tournament:

A Las Vegas tradition since 1983, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is slated to be one of the most exciting PGA TOUR events this fall. The 2016 tournament boasted an incredible field with five members from the victorious 2016 USA Ryder Cup. If you haven’t had a chance to attend the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, or even if you have, this is the year you do not want to miss.

TPC Summerlin, home of Las Vegas’ PGA TOUR event, will be loaded with unique experiences during the 2017 tournament. Besides watching PGA TOUR players compete on the beautiful course, attendees can make their way through a variety of experiences and viewing areas. Highlights to look forward to at this year’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open include:

The Hill sponsored by Casamigos Tequila

This vast, 10,000-square-foot pavilion offers guests unbeatable views of the 16th, 17th and 18th holes, along with featured beverages and comfortable seating areas. Fans can catch up with other sports news as well, thanks to numerous televisions throughout the venue. Entrance to The Hill is complimentary to all tournament ticket holders.

18th Fairway Fan Zone

Open to all guests, the 18th Fairway Fan Zone is packed full of food and fun. With fan engagements from Topgolf, Titos Handmade Vodka, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, local food trucks and family-friendly activities from local partners, our fan zone has something for everyone and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy our beautiful fall weather.

Patriots’ Outpost presented by U.S. Bank

Police, fire, EMT and active and retired military personnel will receive complimentary admission to the 2017 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. In addition, they will have access to the exclusive Patriots’ Outpost presented by U.S. Bank during tournament play, Nov. 2-5. First responders, military personnel and their families can enjoy complimentary food and beverages throughout the day.

Don’t forget that while you and your friends are enjoying a few cold ones and the best rounds of the sport, you are supporting the world-class pediatric care provided by Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The 22-hospital network offers care to children with burns, spinal cord injuries, orthopeadic conditions and cleft lip and palate regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

Shriners Hospitals for Children takes special care of more than 700 children annually from the Las Vegas Valley.

So whether you want to make “Casamigos’ The Hill” your home base or decide to enjoy a Titos handmade vodka cocktail at the 18th Fairway Fan Zone, mark your calendar for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Nov. 2-5, and you’ll realize that it’s more than a golf tournament.
