Television cameras and sports fans will zoom in closely on the National Hockey League Awards at the T-Mobile Arena as the 20 prestigious silver trophies are presented at the live broadcast with Joe Manganiello hosting. More so than ever before because then comes the reveal of the NHL Expansion Draft and the lineup of players for our Vegas Golden Knights. Last night (June 20) the new NHL-Adidas 31 team jerseys were shown for the first time at Steve Wynn’s Intrigue nightclub along with the first-ever Golden Knights uniforms.

Chris Daughtry gets surprise on-stage visit from Randy Couture

Nobody expected UFC legend Randy Couture to go on stage to sing along with Elvis Monroe when he opened for Chris Daughtry’s concert at the M casino resort. More than 6,000 fans turned out at the M Pool for the concert with Chris and his band: guitarists Josh Steely and Brian Craddock, bassist Andy Waldeck and drummer Robin Diaz.

• HOMES FOR VETS: A new reality television show filming in Las Vegas awards home to veterans. Music star Ray J is the host of “Homes 4 Heroes.” The unique program is sponsored by Las Vegas business owner Maria Miuccio who owns Cash Kingdom, a payday and title loan company. Maria, who also owns an All State insurance franchise, plans to give away 60 homes to veterans and first-responders during the run of the TV program. Former U.S. Army veteran and Nevada Assemblyman John Moore, who lives in the first house Maria donated, is assisting in the veteran’s nominating process.

Sixteen Miss Nevada contestants and 22 teenage girls competing for the Miss Teen Nevada pageant have spent the last three days being grilled by a panel of seven entertainment and lifestyle experts. On June 15, the 22 teenagers, including Ashley Harrison on crutches, paraded for the judges at the Tropicana showroom and on June 16, it was time for the older girls.
