Las Vegas headliner Gordie Brown gives restaurant, show picks

’ve come to love Planet Hollywood where “Gordie Brown Live” (I know, a selfless plug!) takes place. It is my second home and the employees are tremendous and very service-oriented. Lots of good restaurants there, too. Although, you can’t beat Strip House for a great steak! It’s great to share a property with Britney, J Lo and Backstreet Boys — now my kids think I am cool and I highly recommend all three shows.

Josh “Chop” Towbin talks shop

There are many reasons I love Las Vegas, and at the top of that list is the people. I see a lot of familiar faces when I go to work every day. No matter which dealership I’m at. I see people who are back to purchase a vehicle from us over and over again. Even though it happens many times every day, I always appreciate it. There was a time during the recession that this repeat business kept us healthy and strong — and I know we are so fortunate to have that.

Reinventing Vegas continues: Architect Leonard Bergman recalls the boom; looks to future

Transport yourself back to 1994. The Mirage and Treasure Island are doing better than anyone could have predicted, so every major casino operator was making plans to open their own integrated resort: the Sands with The Venetian, Circus Circus with Mandalay Bay, Mirage Resorts with Bellagio and Bally’s Entertainment with Paris. Las Vegas was booming and the showmanship we are now known for was in its heyday.
