Thanks to the landing in Las Vegas of Lady Gaga this is going to be a weekend we are spinning with superstars and extravagant entertainment choices. Her T-Mobile concert tonight (Aug. 11) will be a far cry from the more sedate Tony Bennett show and more like Metallica or her halftime Super Bowl sensation that she’s performed in recent years. If all the world’s a stage it seems as if the outrageously dressed Gaga owns all of them.
This summer, we’re taking a note from our locations on the East Coast and bringing a taste of the shore to Las Vegas with a variety of new seafood offerings and specials.
Day 52 (Aug. 11) Kamukahi Ukelele and Hula Festival — Bringing the aloha spirit of Hawaii to Sam’s Town Live with hula performances.
As a singer and songwriter who thrives on the connection I feel with a live audience, Las Vegas beckoned me nearly four years ago and has been a musician’s dream come true. With so many milestones coming up, including National Dance Day and Michael Jackson’s birthday, I can’t help but feel grateful to be living my dream as a professional dancer at the best live entertainment company in the world, Cirque du Soleil. When my little brother and I were dancing on the streets, I never thought I would turn my passion into a career that has allowed me to be a part of a major Las Vegas production — an immersive, emotional show that celebrates my role model, Michael Jackson.

• The new Magical Memories Disney Fine Art Gallery interactive experience opens at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace with Paige O’Hara and Robby Benson of the original animated “Beauty and the Beast” movie now celebrating its own 25th anniversary. (Paige was the voice of Belle and Robby the voice of the Beast). It’s a four-day celebration with the official ribbon and cake cutting set for Saturday. Artists from the Disney studios will be at work inside the gallery to demonstrate their skills, and, on Sunday, the cast and crew of the film will hold a Q&A session for fans.

Brought up in Egypt, Michelle somehow made it to the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip.
