Monday, April 24

“Taj Express” roars into The Smith Center for the Performing Arts with the sounds and colors of India.

More than 100,000 conventioneers from 166 countries attend the opening of the National Association of Broadcasters presenting 1,700 companies and 751 exhibitors. Some 200 are here for the first time.

Tuesday, April 25

Sir Elton John has canceled opening night of his Caesars Palace return due to medical reasons.

Wednesday, April 26

Another canceled night by Sir Elton, but he hopes to return Friday.

NASA produces its first live 4K video stream from 250 miles above Earth with astronaut Dr. Peggy Whitson talking to NAB delegates.

Chef Wolfgang Puck receives a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame, then hosts dinner for his partners and staff at Spago in Beverly Hills, California, before flying here for the 25th anniversary of Spago at Caesars.

Thursday, April 27

Gwen Stefani, Jon Bon Jovi and Steve Aoki entertain at the “Power of Love Gala” for Keep Memory Alive at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Siegfried Fischbacher will be presented with the first Caregiver’s Award, and Andre Agassi will receive the Community Service Award.

Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appetit begins with a prosecco sabering at The Venetian forecourt by the annual food-and-wine festival chefs. The Master Series dinners feature Guy Savoy, Michael Chow, Greg and Marc Sherry, Rao’s 10th anniversary and Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken at Caesars. The three-kitchen tasting at Sugar Cane Raw Bar and Grill at The Venetian stars chef Timon Balloo.

The World’s Greatest Rock Show residency premieres at The Stratosphere.

Friday, April 28

Wolf celebrates the 25th anniversary of Spago. I join Caesars President Gary Selesner for a culinary journey around the world at Bacchanal Buffet based on our travels. Jose Andres creates a Spanish lunch at Jaleo at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; steps away Scott Conant leads a pasta-making course at DOCG; and there’s a potbelly brunch with John Kunkel at Yardbird at The Venetian.

As the sun sets, Vegas Uncork’d Grand Tasting revs up around Garden of the Gods pool at Caesars with more than 100 chefs serving taste treats.

Brett Eldredge is at Park Theater at Monte Carlo.

Sir Elton resumes his Caesars residency.

Wynonna and The Big Noise play Tropicana Theater.

Actress and model Courtney Stodden hosts her official divorce party from husband Doug Hutchinson at Crazy Horse III Gentlemen’s Club. She was 16 and he 51 when they wed.

Saturday, April 29

Longtime chef friends Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay serve competing brunches at Giada at The Cromwell and Mesa Grill at Caesars, respectively, as part of Vegas Uncork’d. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa explains the beauty of sushi and how to master a teppanyaki grill in two sessions at Nobu at Caesars.

The afternoon features a picnic at The Park with Alain Ducasse, Charlie Palmer, Michael Mina, Julian Serrano, Tom Colicchio, Shawn McClain, Rick Moonen, Roy Ellamar, Akira Back and David Werly. The evening’s highlight is chef Gordon Ramsay re-creating “Hell’s Kitchen.”

It all ends with “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro’s “Sweet Escape of Beignets and Bonbons” at Buddy V’s Ristorante at The Palazzo, after which he’ll host a farewell party at The Dorsey at The Venetian.

And actor and singer Erich Bergen (“Jersey Boys,” “Madame Secretary”) hosts The Heart of Education Awards at The Smith Center and performs with his band April 30 and May 1.
