Basilica Tattoo remains in ‘Ink Master’

Two of our Vegas tattoo artists are left in the current “Ink Master-Master Shop” Spike TV reality series — but the judges kicked out the duo representing our Golden Skull Tattoo in this week’s telecast.
For the 14th episode of “Ink Master” the judges set a flash challenge in which the contestants had to create a cohesive design that blended a two- and three-dimensional canvas together followed by creating detailed Asian tattoos.
By the end of the show, the judges felt that our Golden Skull Tattoo salon did not have what it takes to be the next “Ink Master Master Shop.”
The shops now left competing are our Basilica Tattoo with local artists Christian Buckingham and Noelin Wheeler. They are left standing with Black Cobra Tattoos of Sherwood, Arkansas; Old Town Ink of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Unkindness Art of Richmond, Virginia.
On the next episode of “Ink Master” next Tuesday,(Sept. 19) the competition gets even more intense than ever as the top four shops battle it out in a tattoo marathon for the three spots in the live finale with $200,000 on the line and the first ever title of Master Shop.
The judging panel is comprised of musician, filmmaker and artist Dave Navarro, plus world-renowned tattoo artists Nuñez (Handcrafted Miami) and Peck (Elm Street Tattoo).
