Animal rights activists disrupt Kylie Jenner at Sugar Factory — PHOTOS

Updated April 24, 2017 - 2:45 pm

She’s only 19 years old but already a major star on the social media and reality-TV scene. She makes headlines for her push-up bras and provocative, see-through tops. It all makes her a target for any group anxious to grab publicity at Kylie Jenner’s expense.

The scene was set at Saturday’s continuing grand-opening celebrations of Sugar Factory American Brasserie Fashion Show. It didn’t help that the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star, model, fashion designer and socialite was 2 hours late for the red carpet.

For that, though, you could blame a late flight from Los Angeles. But fans were disappointed when Kylie’s red carpet appearance lasted all of 7 seconds, and before she could finish her photographs, animal rights activists began protesting in the crowd. “Blood on your hands,” they screamed, as Kylie has been known to wear fur.

Our thanks to Denise Truscello for her photographs of Kylie at Sugar Factory and to videographer Richard Corey, who was right in the middle of the protest:

Kylie showed up, with her crew, in a pastel blue, gray and white form-fitting dress with pastel blue strappy sandals. As soon as she arrived, she hit the red carpet, but the step and repeat was immediately cut short by the protest. She was promptly escorted upstairs by security to The Chocolate Lounge and whimsical candyland for interviews and photographs at the carousel.

“This has become one of my second homes. It’s so much fun! I love it here,” Kylie said. She took selfies with screaming fans before heading to the candy shop to pick up treats and take fun photos with the non-alcoholic Lollipop Passion goblet and Gummy Bears. Kylie also stopped to sign a picture of herself hanging on the wall in the candy shop.

Former professional boxer and Las Vegas resident Mike Tyson also attended the party and chatted with Kylie in The Chocolate Lounge. He should have been downstairs on the red carpet protecting her because the activists would never have lasted one second, let alone seven.

Kylie and her friends left the celebration after 90 minutes for the ride back to her private jet. Her crew and she took rainbow sliders, gum balls, caramel Sugar Daddy insane milkshakes and non-alcoholic Ocean Blue and Passion Punch goblets for the flight home to Los Angeles.

Sugar Factory Fashion Show has become a celebrity magnet in recent weeks for the grand opening, with everybody from fellow “Kardashians” star Scott Disick in March to Axis at Planet Hollywood headliners The Backstreet Boys last Thursday night making appearances.
