A walk in The Park: Welcome to Las Vegas, T-Mobile Arena, Sake Rok, Beerhaus and Bliss Dance

It’s been more than five months since T-Mobile Arena opened on the Strip near New York-New York and Monte Carlo, and the large venue and its neighboring restaurants and attractions in an area known as The Park and Toshiba Plaza have solidified themselves as welcome additions to The Entertainment Capital of the World.
Mandalay Bay Events Center and MGM Grand Garden Arena are still solid music venues, but an upgrade in technology and size was needed — and T-Mobile Arena has answered that call. Already host to superstars Drake, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Barbra Streisand, Coldplay and more, T-Mobile Arena will only continue to draw top-tier artists who can fill arenas — Beyonce, anyone? — and is home to our new NHL franchise.
Upcoming concerts include The Rolling Stones, Kanye West, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, while the refurbished and renamed Monte Carlo across the street with upcoming new restaurants and markets (Mario Batali’s Eataly, NoMad) and a music venue is certain to draw more traffic.
With the first day of autumn three days ago, the weather is perfect for venturing outside and enjoying two attractions at The Park: the just-launched weekly Party at The Park and The Palette Serenade in The Park, where participants paint outdoors while enjoying music, drinks and small bites. The painting is a souvenir, even if it might be a reminder that one isn’t as artistic as one thought.
Nearby, the beautiful sculpture Bliss Dance embodies female strength and power, a nice message as Las Vegas regains strength and power economically. Dining highlights in The Park include the very lively and fun Sake Rok, the casual gathering place Beerhaus, family friendly (in pricing and environment) Shake Shack and Tom’s Urban, where guilty pleasure food is offered in abundance along with late-night dining.
Welcome to the neighborhood, The Park: You’re definitely worth a walk.
