THE DISH: Old Homestead Steakhouse among new restaurants

To start the new year off right, we have a number of restaurant openings to announce.

Old Homestead Steakhouse, a branch of the New York original, has opened at Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, serving, in addition to steaks, seafood, Kobe meatballs, sides such as potato gnocchi with truffle butter and more. Hours are from 5 to
10:45 p.m. daily. Call 862-3530. …

Bottles & Burgers, by Double Helix, has opened at Tivoli Village, 302 S. Rampart Blvd., serving beef, tuna, chicken, pork and veggie burgers, plus salads, milkshakes, egg creams and more. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Call 735-WINE (735-9463).

Xing Asian Bistro has opened at the Village of Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, serving such dishes as honey-orange chicken, Mongolian beef, spring rolls and potstickers. Hours are from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 5 to 11 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays. Call 568-2407.

Grimaldi’s Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria has opened at Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, serving salads, calzones and desserts in addition to pizza. It’s open during mall hours; call 778-8777.

Buca di Beppo has opened an outlet at the Excalibur, 3850 Las Vegas Blvd. South, serving such Southern Italian favorites as lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. Call 597-7777. …

The regional-foods promotion at Verandah at the Four Seasons, 3960 Las Vegas Blvd. South, will continue with the region of Lazio, home to Rome and such favorites as the Roma tomato, Peccorino Romano and Pasta Carbanara. The three-course prix-fixe menu is $45 and will be available from Jan. 1 through March 31. For reservations, call 632-5121. …
