‘Snappy’ hot dogs spotted

There’s something especially appealing about the “snap” of a natural-casing hot dog, and with the weather getting warmer and barbecue season on the way, readers have sources for George Pobuda.
Susan Sam said she found Boar’s Head brand hot dogs at Smith’s, Joe Kofron and Kenneth Record found them at Larry’s Great Western Meats at 420 S. Valley View Blvd., Larry Serrett said Sabrett and Nathan’s brands are available at Albertsons and Sharon Goldberg of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., said they can be ordered through Schwan’s home-delivery service at www.Schwans.com (or call 888-724-9267). …
For Eleanor Matteson, who seeks Country Pasta, Julie Kisodondi e-mailed that she recently purchased it at Sam’s Club at 8080 W. Tropical Parkway. …
For Susan Joy Feigon, D. Wyatt said cut-from-the-block halva is available at the Mediterranean Country Market at 3280 E. Tropicana Ave. …
For B. Green, Lenora Leibold e-mailed that Sacramento Tomato Juice can be found at Lee’s Discount Liquors at 10935 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson, “at the back of the store where the beer is kept; it’s not with the other mixes.” …
For Shirley Greene, Fran Edlovitch e-mailed that she thinks she can find Nyafat at Albertsons at 2650 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson (and added that the store carries real chicken fat as well), but Randy Kersten, director of operations at Glazier’s Food Marketplace, 8525 W. Warm Springs Road, said it’s his understanding that it’s no longer being produced, so “if anyone finds it on the shelf somewhere — snap it up!” …

More on pickling salt: Robb Worth said Bass Pro Shops, 8200 Dean Martin Drive, usually has it in stock, and Kersten said Glazier’s carries it as well. …
More on Moon Pies: Chuck Rivera, manager of the 7-Eleven at 600 Las Vegas Blvd. North, said his store has them in chocolate, vanilla and banana. …
