Spanakopita, the multilayered Greek spinach concoction, is awfully good, but stacking all of that phyllo and buttering each sheet can get a little tedious. However, fellow readers have found lots of frozen versions for Judy Binder.

She added that when she can’t find them, she buys fresh avocados, lets them soften slightly, halves them and freezes each half wrapped in plastic wrap. “They stay green and yellow and are as good as the commercial,” she said. …
