Reader soon to find certain crustacean

A lot of times – unfortunately – favorite products are discontinued and disappear forever. Sometimes, though, they’re either seasonal or there’s another disruption in the supply chain, and it appears that’s the case with the frozen langostino tails being sought by Fran Ledoux. Minnie Mistretta, Jan Visser, Karen Langbert and David Fleury reported that they’re back at Trader Joe’s, and Fleury said he also saw them in 2-pound bags at Costco at 6555 N. Decatur Blvd. …

For Bev Greer, who’s looking for good frozen Belgian waffles, Ruth Jagodzinski recommended those at Trader Joe’s (and added that they’re good with the company’s Cookie Butter) and Barbara Keeley recommended the Belgian waffles at Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, even though they’re not frozen. …

For Kate Defloria, who’s looking for La Martinique Blue Cheese Vinaigrette, Donna Dalessio reported finding it at Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at 6310 W. Charleston Blvd. …

For Terry Harper, who’s looking for low-carb breads and other foods, Maureen Limino emailed that she has purchased low-carb tortillas at Trader Joe’s, and has seen low-carb wraps and tortillas at the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 540 Marks St. in Henderson. …

For Ellen Dryer, who’s looking for puffed-rice cereal, Langbert emailed that she found it at Wal-Mart at 5200 S. Fort Apache Road and Food 4 Less at 3864 W. Sahara Ave. Langbert added that Dryer should look in the bagged cereal area. …

And for David Pisetzner, who’s looking for free-stone peaches in cans or glass jars, Langbert reported finding them at 99 Cents Only. …

More on Tastykakes and pies: Rich Kohut said they can be found at most Albertsons stores.
