Pizza fans have eyes on the pies

Here we go again.

In response to a request from Leanne Schroer-Motz, who’s looking for a good Sicilian pizza with “medium crust, lots of cheese, zesty sauce, lots of meat,” two readers have weighed in. Michael Partipilo recommends the square Sicilian at Four Kegs, 276 N. Jones Blvd., and Roberta Shulman recommended the version at Anthony & Mario’s Broadway Pizzeria at 840 S. Rancho Drive.

Charleston Blvd. (there are three other Whole Foods in the valley), and Sunny Vasquez, owner of Desert Spirit Trading Post at 191-1 Frontage Road in Pahrump (775-751-0569), said she carries them as well. …

For Karen Groberski, who’s looking for a restaurant, preferably in Henderson, that serves sweet-and-sour cabbage soup, Carol McGilton recommended Weiss Deli and Bakery, 2744 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson. …

For Verna McFeely, who’s looking for Pappy’s Seasoning for meat, fish and poultry, Kathy Love emailed that it’s available in regular and low-sodium versions in small and large containers at Winco, which has local stores at 80 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson and 6101 N. Decatur Blvd. …

For Karine Keller, who’s looking for Gundelsheim sauerkraut, Jan Visser reported finding it at Wal-Mart Supercenter at 2310 E. Serene Ave., adding, “it is the best I have had.” …
