Coen brothers go back to the 1960s

What: “Inside Llewyn Davis”

Cast: Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Garrett Hedlund

Writers-directors: Joel and Ethan Coen

The story: In 1961, a young folk singer (Isaac) travels from the comfort of Greenwich Village to an audition in Chicago and back.

The buzz: It’s a Coen brothers movie, so there’s built-in buzz. And, in addition to best song, the movie and Isaac earned Golden Globe nominations in the comedy or musical category.
