Victim in sports memorabilia robbery says he didn’t want charges pressed against Simpson

A victim in a Palace Station sports memorabilia robbery said this afternoon that he didn’t want charges pressed against O.J. Simpson.

Alfred Beardsley also said he did not want to testify and called a secret recording of the hotel room confrontation a "work of art."

Beardsley has sued the man who made the recording, Thomas Riccio, whom he called a "rat" and "snitch" for his role in setting up the operation.

This morning, a witness testified that he heard O.J. Simpson on the phone "trying to convince the person on the other end that there were no guns."

Charles Cashmore told the jury that Simpson made the comment as they left the Palace Station hotel.

Cashmore also said his life has been ruined since the incident. He can’t find a job, he’s been homeless and his father won’t speak to him.
