ANGEL REMAINS COY ABOUT VMA PARTNERSHIP WITH SPEARS

Criss Angel added fuel to the fire of rumors Friday night surrounding his possible involvement with Britney Spears’ planned comeback performance at the MTV Video Music Awards next weekend in Las Vegas.

"I’m a master of illusion, which means I can keep a damn good secret" said Angel, when asked if he was helping Spears choreograph a magical show at the highly anticipated event September 9 at the Pearl inside the Palms.

Angel and Spears were the featured stars on the red carpet at the opening of LAX nightclub inside the Luxor.

The New York Daily News reported Friday that Angel will use his best illusions to try and create a comeback for her.

Angel would neither confirm nor deny his involvement with Spears’ possible performance at the MTV VMAs when posed the question by Vegas Confidential, only flashing a smile.

Angel will guide Spears in and out of a series of mirrors, making it seem as though she vanishes and then reappears several times, a source told the New York Daily News on Thursday.

Other dancers in the complicated number are being called upon to harness up for simulated flight, the source said.
