The Tenors
Poperatic favorites Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters return to a favorite venue — The Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall — at 7:30 p.m. Saturday to sing selections from their latest album, “Under One Sky,” including the self-penned title track, plus “Lean on Me,” “You Are So Beautiful,” “Granada” and more. For tickets ($24-$95), call 702-749-2000 or visit www.thesmithcenter.com.
Ellsworth Kelly
One of the 20th century’s greatest abstract artists, Ellsworth Kelly died Dec. 27 — but his vibrant works remain as alive as ever, as UNLV’s Barrick Museum illustrates with an exhibit of more than 20 prints that showcase his mastery of colorful, geometric imagery. The Kelly exhibit runs through May 14. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays (until 8 p.m. Thursdays) and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Suggested donation is $5 adults, $2 children and seniors; call 702-895-3381 for details.
Dana Leong Trio
From Barry White to Bjork, from Kanye West to Yoko Ono — two-time Grammy winner Dana Leong’s list of musical collaborators attests to an eclectic approach that’s earned the jazz composer, cellist and trombonist a reputation as a “hi-def Yo-Yo Ma.” Leong’s trio will play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St.; for tickets ($10 in advance, $15 at the door), call 702-229-2787 or click on www.artslasvegas.com.
Forensic explorations
Sunday, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North, metamorphoses into CSI Central with a pair of programs: a free CSI Mini-Camp from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (featuring bone identification, fingerprinting and more), plus a 3:30 p.m. panel of experts on “Demystifying the Forensic Sciences.” Tickets for the latter are $8 to $10; call 702-384-3466 for details on both programs.
Andrew York
He strums, he scores! As both composer and a performer, Andrew York blends time-honored styles and modern impulses — as he’ll demonstrate when he headlines UNLV’s Allegro Guitar Series at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Dr. Arturo Rando-Grillot Recital Hall on campus. For tickets ($40.50-$45), call 702-895-2787 or visit http://www.unlv.edu/pac.
