‘Voluptuous’ explores women’s curves
November 11, 2011 - 2:00 am
Lusciousness of the ladies with their curves, their femininity, their sensuality, is explored — make that appreciated — in “Voluptuous,” an exhibit through Nov. 26 at downtown’s Sin City Gallery.
Two Las Vegas artists, Gia Ray and Scott Sandoval, combine on the theme. Black ink lines and swirls with splashes of red distinguish Ray’s works, which are sexually provocative, yet retain a certain innocence. Metal waving techniques are employed by Sandoval to complement Ray’s creations.
You can explore — make that appreciate — “Voluptuous” at the gallery at the Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd., Suite 100. Hours are from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, as well as by appointment. Call 608-2461 or visit www.sincitygallery.com.
