Season open for holiday bazaars

While many folks have come to think of the NFL season as the most wonderful time of the year, there are still people who remember the more traditional one that starts at Thanksgiving and runs through New Year’s Day.

Instead of keeping lists of player stats and injury reports, these people assemble shopping lists and mark their calendars. And we’re here to help them.

Yes, the Review-Journal is once again compiling a list of holiday bazaars to help shoppers find just the thing for their table centerpiece or a gift for that hard-to-shop-for relative.

We’re accepting details about holiday bazaars from nonprofit organizations and clubs.

Here’s what we need: the name of the event, date, time, street address and examples of what will be for sale. The name of the nonprofit group also must be included along with information on how the money raised will be used. We also need a name and daytime phone number — which won’t be listed — in case we require additional information.

The deadline for providing the details is 5 p.m. Sept. 19.

Send information to Holiday Bazaars, Features Department, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125-0700. Or fax it to 383-4676 or email it to mrhynes@reviewjournal.com (with Holiday Bazaars in the subject line).

Further details are available by calling Madelon Hynes, 383-0306.

The listing is scheduled to appear in the Living section and online Oct. 2.
