Mob Museum debuts ‘Breaking Bad’ memorabilia Friday

A yellow hazmat suit “Breaking Bad” character Walter White wore while cooking meth will go on permanent display at The Mob Museum Friday.

White, played by Bryan Cranston, and the cult-classic series embody organized crime of today, the museum wrote in a blog post Tuesday.

“‘Breaking Bad’ went off the air in 2013, but we’re giving you another chance to get your fix.”

Comparing it to “The Sopranos” and the “Godfather” movies, David Thomson, editor of “Breaking Bad: The Official Book,” a companion book to the TV show, describes the series as “a story about the longing of family wholeness set against violent departures from conventional morality, in which the very lives of families may be threatened,” the post said.

In a sold-out reception, the display, which also features a pair of gas masks and a rubber apron used in the show, will be revealed between 6 and 8 p.m.

The nonprofit museum, 300 Stewart Ave., is “dedicated to the history of organized crime and law enforcement,” its website says. It opened on Valentine’s Day, 2012.
