Here’s why everyone at The Park was wearing white last night — PHOTOS

Dress in white. Make reservations. Plan a picnic. Wait for directions.

That’s what Las Vegas did for its first ever pop-up picnic, Dîner en Blanc Sunday night at The Park.

About 6 p.m., guests adorned in white garb came flooding into the dining space across from T-Mobile Arena with chairs, tables, decorations and picnic-style dishes just waiting for the chance join the exclusive “dinner in white” club.

Guests were given the location of the event just hours before the festivities kicked off to ensure the “chic picnic” was kept secret — until a sea of white linen and lace crashed into the streets of The Strip.

“Over the course of an evening, the diners enhance the function and value of their city’s public space by participating in the unexpected,” the site’s concept page states. “Beyond the spectacle and refined elegance of the dinner itself, guests are brought together from diverse backgrounds by a love of beauty and good taste.”

Orchestrated with a number of helping hands of event organizers, the diners were ushered into place for set up.

Designer and host Michael Habicht greeted crowds with a sharp suit and large white top hat.

“The Guest(s) were dressed to the nines for the perfect Diner en Blanc 2016!” Habicht wrote in a blog post. “Thank you everyone for making our first Diner en Blanc so successful! … See you next year!”
