DADDY DAY CAMP
In a who-asked-for-it sequel to 2003’s “Daddy Day Care,” Charlie (Cuba Gooding Jr., taking over from Eddie Murphy) and Phil (Paul Rae, replacing Jeff Garlin) take on operation of the run-down title camp, which they attended as kids, facing off against an old nemesis (Lochlyn Munro). Disney Channel veteran Fred Savage (who’s come a long way from “The Wonder Years”) calls the shots. Preceded at some theaters by the animated “The ChubbChubb Save Xmas,” a follow-up to the Oscar-winning 2002 short “The ChubbChubbs.” At multiple locations. (93 minutes) PG; mild bodily humor and profanity.
RUSH HOUR 3
After taking Las Vegas by storm in 2001’s “Rush Hour 2,” detectives Lee (Jackie Chan) and Carter (Chris Tucker) head to Paris, where they tangle with Chinese Triads. Director Brett Ratner and screenwriter Jeff Nathanson also return; Max von Sydow, Vinnie Jones (“The Condemned”), Noemie Lenoir (“After the Sunset”) and director Roman Polanski join the action. At multiple locations. (91 minutes) PG-13 for sequences of action violence, sexual content, nudity and language.
SKINWALKERS
A soon-to-turn-13 boy (Matthew Knight) and his mother (Rhona Mitra) become the targets of two warring werewolf packs — one good, one evil — in this horror outing featuring Elias Koteas (“Shooter,” “Zodiac”), Jason Behr (“Roswell”), Kim Coates (“Silent Hill”), and “DOA: Dead or Alive” co-stars Sarah Carter (TV’s “Shark”) and Natassia Malthe. At multiple locations. (110 minutes) PG-13; intense violence and action, sexual material, profanity.
